Here are some images of my buddy's catwalk look that I re-created! Overall I am happy with how this look turned out, I think I exectued it well and I was very pleased with my buddys instructions as they were easy to follow!

Well folks I guess that's it! Now all thats left to do is submit! Yesssss!

Preparing for my Timed Assessment

Part of our assignment was that once we had created our looks, we would be paired up with someone else from our class and have to prepare a face chart, visual and written information on our  catwalk look so that they would be able to recreate our look with out us being there! I gave my buddy the face chart that I have previously documented in my blog aswell as these detailed instructions on how to complete my look!

Aswell as preparing this for my buddy I also looked over the face chart and instructions that my buddy had given my regarding her catwalk look! Below is the face chart that she gave me! She told me to ignore the waterfall lashes!

And here the instructions for my buddys look.

There is also white arrows aswell as the black ones but it is hard to see on this image! Below is a quick trial of the makeup look to check that it would work well! I am pleased with how it came out!

Below is an image of the styling for my editorial look!

I chose a dress that had Native American Indian style patterns on it aswell as this tribalistic cape! Below is an image of the model I have chosen to use for my Editorial look! I chose her as she ahir long enough for the style I want to create and she has a strong look!

Editoral Styling Ideas

I have created a moodboard for my editorial shot styling Ideas, to inspire me to find the perfect outfit for this shoot!

Editorial Trials

I have done some trials of some of the makeup looks I have designed, here are some images.

Editorial Ideas

Here are some facecharts of makeup ideas for my editorial look!

The Lone ranger

Here is a film starring Johnny Depp called The Lone Ranger! which tells the story of a Native American Spirit Warrior called Tonto! The makeup by David Atherton is really inspiring, he has gone for a really strong authentic look!

The call of the wild

Here is an editorial I found from Vogue Indias March 2012 edition, the model choice and also the makeup and hair for some of the shots reminds me of Native American Indians so I thought I'd add this in!

This is my favourite image of the editorial, I really like the ombre eye makeup and the hair with all the different textures in it!

This backdrop is really cool!

Ritual and Honour

I brought this book today that has some information about Native American Indians in it! It's called "Ritual and Honour" hence the post title! It has some really inspiring images in it.

Here is a map from the book that shows exactly where the Native American Indian tribes lived.

These are two Assiniboine men photographed by Geraldine Moodie in the 1800s. I am thinking about doing some kind of plaits in my models hair for my final shoot so it is good to see how the tribesmen and women would have traditionally worn thier hair.

I will be creating a headdress like the one above for my final design. This type of headdress was worn by the Blackfoot tribe and the women would were them in celebration of thier men returning from war! This one is made using eagle feathers.

Look at this elaborate Regalia photographed by Dennis Zotigh, worn by dancers in the Powwow competitions. These type of clothes would originally be worn by warrior dancers of the 19th century.

I find the intricate beaded patterns on this Tomahawk pipe really inspiring, I could use patterns like these in my makeup designs.

Something Wild

I just found this editorial from Vogue Spain called "Something Wild", inspired by Native American Indian tribes. I really like the earthy tones and variety of different textures and materials they have used with the styling. I gives the images a real organic feel to them.

I like the loose plait, it makes the woman look more free and at one with nature rather then a neat slick plait.

Editorial Moodboard

For my Editorial look I have decided to do something inspired by Native American Indians! So here is an initial moodboards for the look with more research to follow!

Catwalk Final Images

Here are my final images from my Tribal catwalk shoot, I am really pleased with how they turned out!

Above is a face shoot to show the hair and makeup and below is a pulled out shot to show the styling aswell.

Catwalk Final Ideas

Here is my face chart for my final idea and the trials that I have done to make sure that my idea works, I hope you like it!

Below are the earrings I have chosen for my model to wear for the Catwalk look.

Here is the clothes that my model will be wearing.

The necklace is made for a tribalistic style necklace and then I added on some rustic bangles. Below is an image of a necklace that is similar to the one I will be using as a headdress for my model. Unfortunately I don't have an image of the actual necklace I will be using as being the good friend that I am, I lent it out to someone! But you get the ides anyways.

This is an image of the model I will be using for my Catwalk look, I wanted my model to have clear skin aswell as a strong brow line.

Catwalk styling Ideas

I have created a moodboard for my ideas about styling for this look! I know that I want my styling to have Aztec prints on it and this moodboard should inspire me to find the right outfit for my look!

Catwalk Trials

I started off by doing a bit of freestyle practice on my friend. I think I got a bit carried away though....

Below is a trial of putting clay on plaits!
